Santa Monica-based fine artist Jeff DiCicco has been passionate about aesthetics since the very early years of his life. Unlike most children in grade school, he knew perfectly well that he would make his way as an artist. Keeping that promise, he was accepted into the prestigious Fine Arts Program at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) where he focused his studies in the areas of drawing, painting and design. Shortly after graduating in 1997, DiCicco’s interest in the limitless styles of architecture brought him west to Southern California.

During his sophomore year at VCU, DiCicco was approached by the Richmond Historical Society to create renderings of four landmark buildings. His artwork was leveraged in every facet of the Society’s marketing campaign which ultimately propelled him into the real estate circle of the city. DiCicco’s renderings were eventually used in property listing advertising. Within a short period of time, word spread, passion grew and more doors continued to open. Upon graduation, what started out as a casual side project, turned into a very fulfilling path.

Upon moving to Los Angeles, DiCicco’s talent was quickly exposed to a wide variety of clientele. Over the next handful of years, his talent became recognized on a global level for his mastery of the art of pen & ink. Using Rotring rapidograph instruments with point sizes as small as .13 of a single millimeter, DiCicco’s intricate works incorporate tens of thousands of individual pen strokes and can require up to two intense months to create a single rendering.
